Gerbera Quartet

8 in. x 8 in. oil on canvas - GIFTED
After several paintings that haven't quite done it for me and one false start last night, I am happy to be back smooshing around the colors I like. While some tonalists consider color a crutch, I am with Hatfield, who says, "Color creates great sympathetic contact with the viewer and is possibly more important than accuracy of drawing or subject matter.”
